Meet Dr. Amanda Barrientez | PhD, RICP®, RSSA®
I’m Dr. Amanda Barrientez, host of the Retirement Income School™. I help people who are nearing or already in retirement create dependable income, protect their savings, and feel confident about the years ahead.
My work became personal after helping my mom navigate retirement planning following my dad’s passing. That experience opened my eyes to how little guidance most families receive around turning savings into income, managing risk, and creating financial stability in retirement. I knew there had to be a better, clearer way.
Today, I specialize in safe-money retirement strategies, including annuities and dividend-paying whole life insurance, designed to provide predictability, protection, and peace of mind. My approach focuses on replacing uncertainty with clarity—so retirement feels financially relaxed, not stressful.
I hold a PhD and am a Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®) and Registered Social Security Analyst® (RSSA®). I’m also an IBC Practitioner®, a member of Ed Slott’s Elite IRA Advisor Group®, and a Court of the Table Member of MDRT®. These designations reflect advanced training and a deep commitment to retirement income planning.
